Just left now, it was the most amazing place, small & cosy but the food & management was no1 Husband wanted to try something different, devilled kidneys to die for Prawn & crayfish for me mmmmmm Rib eye just melted in the mouth Confit duck fell off the bone Staff were amazing, couldn’t do enough, can’t wait to go back , leaving starter out so I can fit in a pudding
Was passing and the restaurant looked lovely. Food and service were fantastic. We both had the lamb and it was so tender and so tasty. The Shiraz was lovely. Highly recommended.

Went in yesterday with the kids, “can I have two fish and chips and one jumbo sausage on its own, the kids can share the chips “ …… came home with one fish and chips and two sausage and chips …And because of how stressed out the Irish lad is behind the counter I’d be two afraid to go back in case he blame me for cooking the wrong order. Also the batter was barely cooked, it was just a mess…… for such a famous place they don’t half struggle at lunch times it seems…..also just because this is the second time I’ve been served by the lad, I’ve never felt so guilty as when I walk into the shop and he’s serving, like I’m putting the man out by ordering food, there’s no smile, no welcome, no pleasantries, it’s an uncomfortable place to get food … and it’s a shame as I live round the corner and would rather and do drive up to the fish shop at upper Headingley rather than here….
